This program raises awareness about our services throughout East Central Saskatchewan and helps clients become involved in community activities, events and organizations throughout the communities in which they settle.  

The program’s main objectives are to:

  • Assist immigrants residing in East Central Saskatchewan with their settlement needs by helping them connect with their community through various activities and events.
  • Connect clients to other organizations to provide opportunities to interact with community members.
  • Introduce clients and encourage them to join sports organizations, various associations and social clubs in order to provide them opportunities to connect with community members with the same interests.
  • Work with other organizations to maintain a newcomer friendly environment.
  • Develop partnerships with other organizations towards developing activities or events that encourages interaction between newcomers and community members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral agencies and community agencies.
  • Develop activities and events that connect newcomers to the community and facilitate cross-cultural exchange
  • Organize events pertaining to history or culture that connects newcomers to the community.
